New Tram Operator Results in Amazing Performance

Well not really. But hey Clay Lucas at the Age reckons magical results should have occured.

With the same trams, same infrastructure, same employees do you think there would be much change?

Neither did I.

PS welcome back for 2010.

As long as they're airconditioned, who gives a fuck about schedules?

I concur. There are a still on the Route 112 that can be stifling hot on days like today with no real air con.

I continue to roll my eyes every time I hear or read media reports that seem to imply that a change in the train and tram operators should have produced an overnight improvement. Sometimes it boggles the mind how dense people can be.

FL - Not wrong. The other issue that the Government is reponsible for the infrastructure and the privatised element is only the operation. If a track fails due to old age it is the gov't problem.

That is why the system is flawed because it is too easy for the various parties to point the finger at each other rather than working together.
