The Quandary

Say you were walking along on the way back to the office after lunch and you noticed an elderly (and possibly homeless) woman taking a dump in a laneway and her sheet of newspaper (toilet paper) blows away, what do you do?
  1. pick it up and hand it back;
  2. avert your eyes and keep walking;
  3. suggest to your workmate that he should pick the paper up and give it back; or
  4. any other suggestions?
Seriously this is what happened today. Sometimes you cannot make this stuff up.

FL - You think? It was such a surreal experience. Car wreck sort of stuff.

This is a tough one... I have a hangover. I'll get back to you later..
I'd love to say that I reached into my pocket and gave her all my tissues but if the truth be told, I'd probably say 'ewww' and keep walking.
Too early in the morning for that shit.

Margarita - Welcome! A hangover on a thursday? Ouch.

Well my first reaction when i saw her scrambling for the paper was to catch it and pick it up. BUT, after i noticed her strides around her knees I thought again.

I'd pick it up and hand it back to her.
Ain't nothing different to some chick in the next cubicle asking for some loo paper and passing it under the wall/door...'cept it's out in the open.
